After 52 years, a week ago second boot of Günther found at Diamer glacier, Diamer face of Nanga Parbat.
Reinhold and his brother Günther was a member of a 1970 expedition to Nanga Parbat led by Karl Herrligkoffer when Günther fell ill and disappeared during ascent.
This became one of the biggest controversy for years. Reinhold was blamed to left his brother to die and not getting help from another team at summit from Rupal face when his brother was ill.
First boot was found on 17 July 2005, when three local Pakistani guides found the remains of a climber at an altitude of 4,300 metres on the Diamir face an hour's climb, near where Reinhold had believed Günther was lost.
This evidence indicated the version of events told by Reinhold that Günther was on the west side of the mountain when he was disappeared, and not on the descent through the Rupal Wall.
