Journey
An unplanned trip is the best because a planned trip never
happens
It is 17th June 2022 and I have suddenly decided to have a trip
with my friend Musharraf Hussain without fixing any destination.
Gilgit Baltistan is a heaven on earth, nobody can ignore its
natural beauty. Gilgit Baltistan has some of the highest mountains in the
world. Combining that with endless green meadows, deep valleys, beautiful
waterfalls, and treacherous roads, Gilgit Baltistan become every nature tour’s heaven
and every adventure seeker’s paradise.
Although Musharraf and I had decided to go on the trip, we had
not been able to allocate a single place. Because all the areas of Gilgit
Baltistan are unparalleled in beauty and we cannot skip even a single place to
visit. By the way, I picked him up from Jutal where he was waiting for me, and
we started our aimless journey.
While riding a bike, we suddenly saw the board of Naltar where
there came the idea of going there and our aimless journey found its destination.
We were unknown of the bad condition of Naltar road, otherwise, we would never
fix it. The road to skies point was a bit better but we have decided to reach
Naltar Lake because these days never come again and the road to the lake was so
bad that only 4X4 vehicles could go.
On the way to Naltar Lake, a policeman stopped us and taunted
us. “Will you be able to arrive safely?” I was shocked to hear this
because I did not know why he was saying it. I hardly controlled my emotions
and answered.
INSHALLAH
There
is a famous saying.
Sometimes we ride on you
Sometimes you ride on us
It
was practical with us on Naltar road, on the other hand, heavy rain was not
leaving us. Apart from this, we enjoyed many barriers and finally reached
Naltar Lake.
Naltar Lake is a colorful crystal-green Emerald Lake. The color
of the water is green due to the lush green surroundings and grasses inside the
water. The surrounding areas of the Lake are stunning covered by pine trees and
snowcapped. The beauty of Naltar Lake is beyond the imagination.
We
enjoyed ourselves well in Naltar Lake for about 3 hours and decided to get
back. There is also a slow leopard at a distance of about 2 hours from Naltar
Lake. Although the sun was setting and it was getting dark, we didn’t miss the
chance to see it. It was about 7:30 pm and we enjoyed seeing the leopard and
night view of the attractive jungle of pine trees near there.
